AHHA PARTICIPATION IN COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
LOCALLY IN AUSTRALIA AND OVERSEAS

2022: AHHA is thrilled to finally return to Freedom Plaza as our first public community fundraiser since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The event raised almost $6000 - a significant contribution that will greatly support our plan of resuming our annual overseas field trip in 2023.

2019: A fundraising event was held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Cabramatta Police Community by Plus Fitness Cabramatta. $500 was raised from the community to help AHHA charity work. A special “Thank you!” must go to the owner of the Plus Fitness Cabramatta Mr. Tung Vien, his staff, and AHHA volunteers.

2018: AHHA collaborated with the Rotary Club of Liverpool West and held a fundraising dinner in Liverpool, NSW to raise much-needed funds for Miracle Baby Foundation which supports premature and sick newborns, their families, and the hospitals that care for them.

2016: AHHA collaborated with the Australian Vietnamese Community to raise funds for the United Nations Commission for Refugees (UNCFR) in Sydney.

2015: Fundraising to build a community Trong Dong Drum in Bankstown. The money was given to the Vietnamese Community Australia NSW chapter to carry out the work.

 

2013: Fundraising together with Hammond Care to help build a fresh food kitchen at Braeside Public Hospital in Sydney. Money was given to Braeside Hospital.

 

2012: Fundraising appeal to help the families of the Australian soldiers who had either lost their lives or became invalid during the Vietnam War. A total of $50,000 was raised and was given to the Australian Veterans Affairs Association.

 

2011: Contribution to the Vietnamese Community in Australia NSW chapter appeal to erect a monument for Vietnamese Boat people in Bankstown. The money was given to the Vietnamese Community Australia NSW chapter to carry out the work.

 

2011: Contribution of books (A$500) to Anh Minh school for the deaf and mute children in Saigon, Vietnam.

 

2010: Contribute to the fundraising efforts of the Australian Vietnamese Health Professionals Association NSW to help raise funds for the Invalid South Vietnamese Veterans currently doing it tough, living in South Vietnam. Money was given to South Vietnam Veterans Association in SA.
