Annual Field Trips

AHHA was founded in 2003 where it started with annual field trips to help the poor and those less fortunate in the rural areas of Vietnam.

In 2011, AHHA officially broadened its scope of work to include dental treatments. Thousands of dental procedures, including dental restorations and extractions have been carried out for the special needs (HIV or with medical conditions or orphans) and poor (street, rescued) children in Vietnam.

In 2015 we expanded our work into Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

AHHA has carried out thousands of free cataract operations in numerous areas of Vietnam and Phnom Penh, using the latest Phacoemulsification and Extracapsular technology and intraocular lens from Australia. We provide comprehensive medical checkups with free medications. Eye examinations also reveal impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error. Thousands of pairs of donated reading and prescription glasses and sunglasses are given away.

With each annual field trip, a 'Humanitarian Side Trip' is organised to distribute food parcels and other essentials for poor, rural families and those in need.
